Rather exceptional piece in many ways...
-Subject : if one connait a lot(many)
the heads of oba, of queen and the others, one knows much less the very
beautiful bronzes animal painters of this ethnic group.
-Usage : it is not only an ornamental
bronze but it had a ritual use.

The one that we propose here is apparently very ancient.
Give evidence of it of the sharpness of the details of horns, ears, as
well as of magnificent expression and perfectly mastered with the animal.
Flowed wax lost, paws are hollow. To note, a light crack
on the outside of the paw before right-hand side and a small tear in
the left ear.
