::: Poupee ham pilu - Fali - Cameroun - Poupées et perles africaines
Au Cameroun, quand un jeune homme Fali se fiance, il fabrique une poupée en bois (ham pilu) et la décore de cheveux, de perles et de petits objets.
Il le donne alors à sa fiancée, qui le porte dans un porte bébé dorsal. La poupée est le symbole de leur obligation de mariage et représente leur enfant à venir.
L'homme donne là sa poupée le sexe qu'il désire pour son premier-né.
La jeune femme prend alors soins de la poupée jusqu'à la naissance de l'enfant désiré. Une fois l'enfant né, la poupée est soigneusement mise de côté.

::: Doll of fertility ham pillu - Fali - Cameroon - African dolls
n Cameroon, when a young Fali man becomes betrothed, he makes a doll (ham pilu) from wood and decorates it with hair, beads, and other small objects.
He then gives it to his fiancee, who wears it in a baby carrier on her back.
The doll is a symbol of their marriage commitment and represents their future child.
The man gives the doll the gender that he desires for his first-born.
The young woman cares for the figure until the promised child is born; at this point, the couple carefully stores the doll away.
