Le couteau-chochette est l' attribut des prêtres de Goun ( Ogoun chez les Yoruba), divinité du métal, "patron" des forgerons et de tous ceux qui travaillent le métal, et par voie de conséquence de la guerre (armes).

Parfois le prêtre tient à la main 2 clochettes jumelles appelées Adja et un couteau, parfois couteau et cloche sont associés en un même instrument symbolique.

The knife-bell is the attribute of the priests of Goun (Ogoun at Yoruba), divinity of metal, "owner" of the blacksmiths and all those which work metal, and consequently of the war (weapons).

Sometimes the priest holds with the hand 2 called twin small bells Adja and a knife, sometimes knife and bell are associated in the same instrument symbolic system.
