Ces élégants chapeaux sont portés par les initiés de la société du Bwami.

Leur forme est traditionnellement conique, recouverte de boutons, parfois de cauris. Le sommet est orné d'éléments provenant d'animaux nobles, poils d'éléphant, plumes d'aigle, corne ou ongle...

Beau chapeau de belle ancienneté, rajouts de cauris et de tresses de tissus rouges
Marques d'usures.
Les tissus sont collés à la résine de Copal. Une corne ou griffe animale orne le sommet.

These elegant caps were worn by the instructors at the camps where boys were prepared for initiation into the bwami society. The design is usually conical, with buttons sewn around the sides and a crest made from a noble animal such as an elephant or an eagle.

This cap is sewn all around with white shell buttons and has a crest. The chinstrap is also sewn with buttons.
