" Biga " means child in mooré. Common to Mossi and
to Kouroumba, they are the work of the smiths. It is about a feminine
statuary, generally about a small dimension and connected to the
fertility.
During the childbirth, the biga receives first
care, before the new born. It receives also the first drop of milk.
