This kind of doll is used in Kenya by 9 ethnic groups :
Giriama, Pokomo, Duruma, Chonyi, Kauma, Sanye, Makonde et Boni.
When a couple has difficulties to have a child, a doll is created and gaved to the couple that will keep it during the nights until the women gaves birth.
