It is a small version of Dogon's ladders ...
According to what we knows about it, it would be about
a ladder for spirits, to rest on an altar... Hypothesis
to be verified.
Big turntable ladders meet themselves as for them in all Africa, but
have for origin Mali, with a strong use in countries Lobi and Dogon.
It is about a fork of tree in which one practised notches.
The ladder is supported against the wall of the house,
or of the attic. The usage determines the height
of it.
Dogons attributes number of symbols to these ladders.
